Shey Festival- Sisters of Ladakh

It's been 4 years since I first visited Ladakh, and it beckons my soul. Wish I could be there with my friends, I hope they enjoy their time developing public health initiatives out there! As a tribute to the beauty of Ladakh, I have decided to post a series of photographs from my time in Ladakh. The photo above is from my first visit to Ladakh. I had joined a medical expedition through Himalayan Health Exchange to provide care in the Indian Himalayas, during the acclimation period we were fortunate enough to attend the Shey Festival. I was lucky enough to capture this shot with an Olympus Stylus Point and Shoot. It was a worldly experience to hear the beautiful tones of Ladakhi Buddhist Music while witnessing their beautiful dancing and ceremonial dress against such a stunning sky.

You have provided a good short information on Shey monastery, sister of ladkah. Ladakh is a good place to explore the monasteries. Monasteries in ladakh is the main tourist attraction. One should visit and explore ladakh once in a while.
